Ms. Hughes got the nickname because of the loving way she cared for traveling artists and musicians as they would pass through Philly, in-route to their various destinations. Over the past two decades, Robert has been providing a canvas for people from all over the world to show off their street art, sticker art, and graffiti art. He even has a story of an artist from Australia that got wind of what was going on here, and, knowing that he’d never make it there in person, mailed Robert his work to have it featured. That just goes to show you what type of establishment Tattooed Mom has transformed into!

Not only is the establishment visually stimulating, but they’re also pumping out some real deal food and specialty cocktails. They pride themselves in being vegetarian/vegan friendly, even going as far as to offer half off their veggie menu every Monday from Noon-10 pm. Personally, I’m a fan of the 50 cent pierogis on Thursdays!

If you’re more interested in the spirits, they have you covered there as well. The “Pop Rocket” cocktail mixes booze with, you guessed it, the childhood favorite candy Pop Rocks. The fan-favorite “Tiki Kitty” is a sour punch to your tastebuds in an adorable souvenir kitty cup. Other options like the “Hot Mommy Toddy”, “Momma’s Mule”, and their own hand-crafted, bottled cocktail the “Gimlet” round out the selection.
